I’ve been out of it for a bit now, but it’s time to get back to the real work. I’ve been fairly good about keeping up with a post every Friday and I know I had mentioned before about possibly doing a story series (I’m still considering it), but a lot has been going on that made me put writing on the back burner for a bit. And all I have to say about that is…I hate it. I haven’t worked on my book in a few months and I haven’t produced any good short stories either. Though I hope you’ve liked the flash pieces I’ve put up recently.

It’s kind of crazy how my lack of reading directly corresponds to my lack of writing. So I’m starting a new book. I subsequently also have a decent length road trip today that should let me get a lot of reading done (I’m not the driver this time. Don’t read and drive, but you can read and listen. I’ve never done an audio book before and I’m not sure if I’d like it. I like the real thing.).

So I’m getting back in the saddle and can hopefully get some good work done. I’m going to do a round of edits on the chapters I have so far. I already know I’m going to be combining Chapters 1 & 2 and extending Chapters 3 & 4. If I’m feeling up to it, I might actually post Chapter 1, but that’s only if I think it’s good enough for any other eyes than mine. Unfortunately I’m a pretty harsh critic on my own work (though I’ve been posting the flash fiction as I write it so I don’t have time to second guess it).

Anyway, my dream is still alive and kicking and I’m still going to get back to putting the work in to make it eventually come true. I hope you have some fun while I continue this journey.
